How to search email in outlook across all folders? - Use "All Mail" from search toolbar

Do a basic search in Outlook 

option + command + F brings up search panel.
Under Search tab you will find "Current Folder","Subfolders","All Mail" and "All Items" and so on.

Click "All Mail" and perform search now.
